If there is any kind of basketball karma in the world, MK will have a very long and successful career playing the sport he loves somewhere fun for lots of money. He has earned every bit of success that comes his way - and nobody can take that away from him ever.

One of his quotes in the DMN, again showing his admiration for Ben Moore and Sterling Brown and the future of the team:

“Not a lot of programs, even ones that have been elite, have had the past three years that we have,” Kennedy said. “We’ve set the program up to go on even further. We’ll have the best seniors in the country next year. Not going to the NCAA Tournament, we shook that off two or three days after they announced it. We’ve known what our goal was from the beginning and we did it.”

Greatness

Seeing both Nic and Markus talk about establishing the foundation and wanting future to teams to build on it is very impressive because it's a big picture view of the program that they don't have to buy into -- but they did and it means they are invested in what happens in the future. Very cool.

I hope to see Nic , Markus and Jordan at Moody often in the future....the ovations will be thunderous.

And we'll be in great shape with Sterlng and Ben as captains.

Nic and Markus really are the pioneers of the new era of SMU basketball (obviously along with LB) They will not be forgotten. I hope we look back in 5 years at our football program and can point to a few leaders in Stang Gang 16 and 17 as doing the same

chances are they'll all be playing somewhere next season. 2 of them probably not in the US.

once they done playing professionally hopefully we can groom some of these players for future coaches
