Embarrassing turnout by the host school's fans. Maybe 2,000 attendance. Very sad.

Unfortunately, we will never be able to produce an atmosphere like the Big East tournament at MSG.

I was able to go in 2012 and had a blast. I know we were only members of the Big East for less than 10 years, but those were very fun times!

Memphis is probably the best spot to have the tournament in my opinion.

When we were set to join the BE, playing the conference tourney at MSG was what I was most excited about. As for Memphis, at least you know people would show up to games there. The turnout in Orlando for day one is embarrassing for the conference.

To top it off, UCF is about to lose to the last place team in the conference.....

How many times have you been to the tourney in Memphis? Unless the game involves Memphis the building is empty.

Callen, there is no "perfect" location for this conference tournament. Memphis is just the best alternative.

Best case scenario would be if there was a neutral location by 3-4 rabid fan bases, but that doesn't exist.

The Big 12 is very lucky to have Kansas City as the host because they are able to fill up the entire arena for the whole week with Kansas and Iowa St fans. We don't have one school that comes close to those fan bases

I agree but absent that location it would be good to have it in a city like Houston/Dallas/maybe Atlanta? that has large alumni bases for many schools in the conference (for instance, Dallas has a large number of SMU, UH, and Memphis alums, and moderate numbers of Tulane, Tulsa, UConn, and Cincy alums...I'd assume similar in other large cities)

I recall a pretty good crowd at the 11am Thursday game we lost to UH. The night games were absolutely packed.

But again, they don't seem to care to host again.

People say we need 'destinations' for people to show up. BS. 3/4ths of the conference has zero following on the road. It needs to be in a big metro city to try to attract a few non affiliated basketball fans. Florida might be the worst place to have this tournament. Even professional sports there are the least attended in the country

I think Cinci/UConn is a play-in game for the tournament.

Who cares about attendance? I can take my fam to Disney, watch the Ponies and enjoy quality weather.

I need warm weather, great bars and restaurants and a team in the tourney.
