Postseason tour for SMU BB?

I don't know about you guys and gals, but I've found it difficult to watch the conference tournaments now that SMU's season is officially over. March is usually my favorite time of year as a fan, but this year I can't get excited to watch. Maybe I am still bitter over the NCAA decision (I am) and maybe I'm mad as hell that a school like UNC, who systemically cheated for decades, is allowed to play (I am).

But I seem to recall someone posting a thread about SMU basketball playing in Europe, something perhaps as a reward for gutting this season out and for the seniors to experience. I couldn't find the thread on pf - does anyone know if something like this is planned and if so, any details?

Thanks!

It's been stated that the seniors would be ineligible for such a tour.

I think alot of whats been said on the board falls under the category of wishful thinking. Describing it as an alternative to the post-season and a reward for the players/seniors gave people bigger ideas than what it will actually be. I think its going to be more like the type of overseas summer trip that every school is able to take once every four years, and as mentioned before, this years seniors wouldn't be eligible to go. Since the seniors will be out of school and trying to play professionally this summer, I dont think would have time for such a trip, anyway.

I dont have any inside information, but Smusic seemed to know what was going on, peraps he can help you.

Last I heard was pretty much as you described but I haven't heard if it's been booked.
