Any updates? I would be interested to see if Van Chancellor could resurrect this program kind of like Larry Brown has done for the men. It would be nice to be nice to emulate UCONN in having powerhouse programs for both men and women.

I'd like to see us go after Becky Hammon but I don't think she'd take it. She's probably already turned down better offers.

What about Gail Goestenkors? She had a really good run at Duke, went to Texas, didn't do quite as well there but still made tournament every year. She's a WNBA assistant now I believe

Here are some other names. I promise I don't have any insider knowledge, just throwing some possibilities out.
Shea Ralph
Former player, now assistant at UConn. Getting one of Geno's disciples is probably not a bad idea.
Keitha Adams
HC at UTEP. She's put up a lot of wins, but relies very heavily on transfers and JUCO players. Probably wouldn't work here.
Ryun Williams
HC at Colorado St. He's killing it in Ft. Collins right now, I don't know if we could lure him away from being the top dog in a comparable conference, with the obvious exception of UConn. His salary doesn't seem to be too high though, so who knows.
Mark Trakh
HC at NMSU. He's been dominant in the WAC for the last 2 years. He previously coached at USC and took them to the tournament twice in 5 years.
Sandra Rushing
HC at Central Arkansas. She's improved UCA in 4 years there, including 26 wins this season. Before that she coached at elite DII program Delta State, with multiple Sweet 16 and Final 4s.

I think she would be a great hire.

Dave Bliss? What could possibly go wrong?

Forgot about her, but given her age and past results she would be a home run hire!

I think we would more easily convince Larry to coach the women and promote Jankovich to HC of the men.

I am not sure.
I have written Hart suggesting that they try to convince Nancy Lieberman to take the job. If I recall correctly, she has significant ties to Dallas.

Good question, Snob.
Seems like the WBB program has a lot of room for growth. Depends what kind of approach the AD takes if it happens.

She does, and also to Rhonda. They were teammates at ODU, and then Rhonda transferred to SMU and Nancy was signed by a women's pro team in Dallas. I think I heard that they shared an apartment at the time. She also coached the Frisco D-league team.
Like Hammon though, she has a real shot at coaching in the NBA, so I don't know if she would step away from that.

We don't disclose our salaries since we are private, but based on comparable schools we are probably in the 250-400K range.
