Pastner to TCU?

There are rumors coming out of Memphis that TCU may be interested in Pastner. Frankly, I think they are a little far-fetched, but TCU may be looking for a new coach soon and certainly basketball isn't a priority at that school. Due to Memphis' stupid no-buyout clause a new school could pick him up super-cheap and Pastner could trade a million or two for a fresh start as his coaching career is nosediving faster than a German dive bomber. If they are looking for someone who can recruit, runs a squeaky clean program and can get cheap then Pastner may get a look.
I, as an SMU and Memphis fan, am all for this.

Jamie Dixon the Pittsburgh coach is an ex-TCU player is the one to follow ---10 NCAA Tourneys' in a row during his time there....

I think the noob comes from the very strong group of unknowns coaching small successful programs. Cowtown just isn't a draw for a big name. Gotta be a guy on the way up.

To my knowledge there's never been a cheating scandal at the school and the graduation rate on the basketball team (not counting those who transferred out) was excellent. So yeah, it's pretty clean.
My guess is that he's at Memphis next year.

I was shocked that Dawkins got fired by Stanford. At a school like TCU where academics are not as rigorously examined, he might find paydirt. I hope they hire Wild Billy.

That was the thinking that lead them to hire Johnson.
