Even when he doesn't specifically use the words "junior college" that's what he means. The Hawaii kid he mentioned is also a junior college player. The "great" UTEP class is headed by 6 JC/CC players and the excellent Tulsa team is bringing in 2 JUCO big men to shore up that problem. If you read between the lines sounds like a man who is green with envy every year with all his opponents lining up outstanding JC players for immediate help. Noticed the TV announcers last nite also mentioned that Bennett's started the PR stance that SMU ridiculously restrictive academic standards made it impossible for SMU to compete until 2 years ago. These are two coaches on the proverbial hot seat aren't they-although we know that they are philosophically opposed to lowering any more standards.
