Time to get to work on SMU-Duke, AAC, 2016-17

Duke rarely has high-profile seniors any more, but when we used to, K has a tradition of scheduling one-off away games in those players' hometowns (e.g., Duke at Oregon at the Rose Garden in Kyle Singler's senior year).

Matt Jones (DeSoto, TX) should be high enough profile to qualify for this.

SMU needs to get on the horn now that both schools are in the off-season and make this happen.

Would be awesome. BTW, gotta believe we could sellout the AAC against Duke.

Is that the link you meant to post, last year's Duke schedule? If so, what does that have to do with next season's schedule? We could agree to a home-and-home - Dallas (AAC) in 2016 so Jones gets a home game and we travel to Cameron in 2017. Sounds like a win for everyone.

It's college ball, stay out of pro arenas. I can promise you K isn't gonna play us anywhere other than Cameron, so why do we give away our home?

But the main point of this thread is that Coach K likes to schedule a game in the hometown of his seniors. Unless all of this players are from Durham, those games can't be at Cameron.

Also, I thought we should try to play anyone anywhere. Who cares if it is a pro arena?

If he wants a game in Dallas for jones' sake, come to Moody. Really very simple. I said be a road warrior and play anyone anywhere, but that was in reference to going on the road.

No elite teams are going to play us at Moody. I was shocked that Michigan agreed to it

Agree that we shouldn't give up games at Moody.
