Yes - from Ill State as a Frosh - and vs. inferior competition. From:

If he stays healthy, Shake is going to be big-time for us.

Good information. I am not worried about Shake as a player. I think he is going to be really good. What we will miss most about Nic is the leadership and ability to put the team on his back. Nic wanted the ball in big games and big possessions. You could count on him to bring the ball up the court, knock down free throws and hit the big shot. Not everyone has that ability or desire. That is no knock on Shake. He has not been asked to do that. My hope is that Nic was a good mentor and Shake was taking good notes. If Shake has the same killer instinct and leadership combined with his ability and size he is going to be a superstar. I just hope he is here for a few more years!

Thanks for those stats. Funny, I was thinking about this exact comparison a few days ago.
One thing we've seen and will most likely continue to see is year over year improvement in LB's guys.
Barring injury improvement seems to be the norm.
This bodes really well for both Shake and Jarrey.

Shake does not have the ability to will his team to win. No one like Nic in that regard.

Nic was a legend, but if we don't have a bunch more, we're not doing it right. Larry Brown is our coach, he's a PG God. I expect most of ours in the league moving forward. Both Shake and whoever we get in '17

Sterling is going to be a good leader next year and anyone who saw Shake stare down that one player ( which one I do not recall) in a game this year knows he will bring a little nasty into play. Already looking forward to the new team.

Exactly. Shake will mature into his role, whatever that may be as the years pass. Next season i have no doubt that both Ben and Sterling will be effective in leadership roles.
Some here criticized Ben not too long ago for being a bit soft. I'm not hearing much of that anymore.
Give Shake some time.
