Even before we begin this season, I want to say that this should be Dement's last season.

He has been here since 95 and has no NCAA tourney to show for it. Even Shumate got us there once.

While basketball has been better than football, Mike needs to go. Even if he were to somehow get us into the tourney, he should be let go. Let's just hope we don't pull a 'Gregg to Shumate' and sign him to a five year deal after we luck into a tourney bid.

Seriously, SMU has had great talent since Dement came thanks to Tubbs, and Dement has nothing to show for it.

We don't run plays, we can't shoot free throws, we lose down the stretch - I could go on and on.

Lets cut him lose and hire Jimmy as the head coach.

You might add to the list that players, for the most part, do not seem to improve during their SMU careers. Q was certainly an exception, as was Hancock. But they are the exception rather than the rule.
