Odds on Nic getting drafted

I know next to nothing about the NBA draft this year, other than all the experts say it's very thin this year in terms of true NBA-ready talent.
What kind of chance does Nic have of getting drafted in the 2nd round today?
I know he'll get a summer league invite at the least, but is there even a chance he gets drafted? I'd like to think so, but I am not a big NBA guy, so I would love to hear from some of you guys that follow the league more closely.

Highly unlikely unless one of the teams that brought him in for a workout really want to get his rights for summer/d-league ball. Honestly, for someone like Nic it is better to go undrafted than being selected in the 2nd round because your agent can pick the best situation from the teams interested and go from there. 2nd round picks don't get a guaranteed contract. Plus, most teams use the 2nd round for a Euro to stash.

True. More and more teams are going The Euro stash way in round 2 for different reasons. I'd say Nic has a 5% chance of getting drafted. Some team would have had to fall in love with him. I do think he's got a great shot of being one of the summer league guys that makes a training camp roster, and from there it's up to him. JJ Barea was another big time college producer with height limitations that had to prove himself this way. He's got a chance, and I'm pulling hard for him.

slim to none on getting drafted, but I would not be surprised to see him get a free agent deal and at least have an opportunity to earn a spot on someone's roster

Funny listening to multiple media about the LeVert pick and hearing about how poorly he played against SMU. Nice that we are now a measuring stick.

Just heard Follo on the Mavs draft coverage say that the Mavs will have two summer league teams (Orlando and Vegas) so I wouldn't be surprised if Nic gets a spot there.

He obviously didn't get drafted. I kept pulling for it to happen right down to the end.
I also think he will make a roster this summer and then get an invite to play. It's too
bad that the pros can't see the giant heart and spirit in this kid. All they see is a small
point guard with potential defensive liabilities.
Go Nic. Make them look silly by playing your way in.

Well, Jalen Jones didn't get drafted, either. And he may have been the mostly likely SMU player to get drafted.
Just not a lot of opportunity to get drafted when you're competing against so many foreign players.
But New Mexico State had a guy drafted in the first round. And how does LSU not do better when they have NBA players every year?

5 foot nothing doesn't help. - great kid - good person - solid college player with a future teaching, or whatever else he wants to do..
