Posted: Tue Nov 18, 2003 7:59 amI agree that our whole team played a very good second half. Noone has mentioned that Isham had 8 steals in this game in addition to scoring and an incredible block. Simpson is being much more agressive and is scoring much better. Castro was our main weapon in the first half and kept us from being more than 14 down.
Someone said that our perimeter defense is bad. It isn't that our guys don't try to get out on the 3 point shots - IT IS OUR 1-3-1 defense. I don't know why coach keeps us in that defense for a whole half while the other team is hitting 9 or its first 10 3-pt shots. I have coached Jr. High
kids to break a 1-3-1 easily. The corners and
the two outside spots on the circle are always open. So - I hope we don't use that as our main defense as it has been in the pre-season and much of last year.
Someone asked for practice times. I don't actually know. I have been by Moody at about
2pm on Wed or Thursday and have seen them.
Has anyone heard yet - why - Miller, Lowe, and
Pearson did not suit-up last Sunday??
