Tim Jankovich was in the dark on Larry Brown's contract negotiations with Southern Methodist.

As the head-coach-in-waiting since joining Brown in 2012, Jankovich never felt comfortable talking to the Hall of Famer about his future.

I think this offense will fly with Jankovich. What we saw last year was just a taste. I cannot wait!

5. Good genes. Jankovich has a son who can ball a little, too. Michael Jankovich is a rising-junior at Jesuit High School in Dallas. Michael was named Newcomer of the Year in District 9-6A and was placed on the All-District first team after this past season after he averaged 15.3 points per game as a sophomore.

He is Class of 2008. I hope he plays in AAU, and is able to recruit team members. Seems like he will be a good recruit.

Felt like we have been a little hesitant about launching 3s under Larry. Those of us old enough to remember when the 3 point goal was instituted, most coaches back then HATED it. Discouraged the players from even thinking about taking the shot. As a new generation of coaches take their spots we are seeing it as a very effective tool for the right team at the right time. Turns what was once a 7 point lead with a few minutes to go into a 2 point lead.

I for one believe they should take it one step further. 4 point shot from the half court line

5 points from the opposing free throw line, 6 from behind the other basket. +1 for a bounce shot.
