Me too. I know we lost our best player but this will be the most complete team we've had in this five year run.

I agree Shake will emerge as our leading scorer but I think we have so many good players it will be way more than one guy. Remember, we have two fantastic seniors who have been the ultimate team guys. As hoopmanx pointed out, Sterling is the leader of this team now and we all know he's tough as nails. Ben Moore is a uber talented, team first guy and Semi is as skilled an athlete as we've had. Talent all around on this team.

I love our team and hate to be a wet blanket, but is anyone concerned that we will get out-rebounded by a wide margin on a nightly basis? Just concerned any team with a 6'10" stiff will play volleyball on the backboard. Sure would have been nice for either Bruno or Kapita to have stuck. That would have changed things materially

Last year our tallest players were a generous 6'9 MK and a 6'7 Tolbert

While we are not a tall team, we have guys who rebound very well for their position - Sterling, Ben M and Jarrey. D Mc is supposed to be an excellent rebounding guard and Semi can board. The Aussies are an unknown to me, especially Tom. I noticed Fro had good rebounding numbers in that summer league though. As you know, to play for LB you had to defend and board, so most of the guys on our roster do both well.

Tolbert was one of the best 6'7" big men I've ever seen at the college level. He would have been the shaq of a 6'7" and under league

Granted...two really good rebounders are gone. But everyone on this team can rebound. Given the popularity of the three pointer I'd suggest that guys like Sterling, Gu and Jarry will each get 6-10 per game.
How many rebounds went over the heads of MK and Tolbert last year? Answer: many.
Rebounding should be fine, just more evenly distributed than in years past.
I'm more concerned about what happens before the shot on our defensive end. What i think we'll really miss is a guy in the middle who can put a penetrating guard's shot in the third row of seats. A guy like UCONN's Brimah.

sadderbudweiser,
I'd like to see Ben M be that guy. He has all the tools to be a great help side shot blocker. I'm curious to see how Semi defends. It'd be nice if he can provide a little defensive resistance around the rim.
Brimah is another guy we will have difficultly with on the boards. He just has trouble staying on the floor due to foul trouble.
