While having my morning coffee at Starbucks by SMU this morning, I got to visit with Coach Jankovich.
I found him to be very personable, attentive and easy to talk to. Nice guy and feel we are lucky to have him. Hoping for a great season.

And by chance I ran into LB yesterday here in East Hampton. I told him how much so many appreciated his putting SMU on the basketball map. He said he really loves the school, kids still attending.

I told him I'd be at MSG cheering and he mentioned the affection he has got the guys on the team.

I didn't press him on anything, just wanted to say thanks.

My sense: This is going to be a rough couple of weeks for him.

BTW: He's not taking the high school job.

Glad to hear that his kids are staying at SMU. Hope he will stay connected as well and we need to honor him at some point during a game soon.

Larry was in town last weekend. He was out walking on the Katy Trail on Sunday wearing SMU gear.

He had SMU gear on up here yesterday too. The one day I DIDN'T have any on!

Like that he supports the school.

always enjoy Jank's interviews. Hope this season is special and he's around for a long, long time
