weekly Coach Jank show

Postby LA_Mustang » Mon Nov 07, 2016 9:51 pm

On tonight's ponyUp Tempo show at Humperdink's, Coach Jank and Mays did a segment and announced we will get a weekly hoops show this season. Very cool.

Why 2 months from now? When football is over?

This is why Henderson Tap House failed to honor their sponsorship agreement and the show was moved TO Humperdinks. Taphouse didn't want to deal with lowly Jank, only LB. Spend your dollars wisely.

I don't take offense at the Tap House making the decision to cancel at all. Larry Brown is a national household name and Tim Jankovich is a complete unknown.

They made a business decision, simple as that. If Coach Jank is successful here then he will make a name for himself.

They had a contract under previous management. New manager came in and refused to honor the contract because LB quit. The contract was with the bar and SMU, not the manager and LB or his agent. Businesses that don't honor signed and agreed upon contracts aren't very good at what they do in my opinion. Especially service based businesses in highly competitive markets. But to each his own.

I like Humperdinks. They have good beer and some parking (a/k/a not on Henderson).

I agree....HTH is on my no fly zone...why would'nt they honor it and expand their customer base?

I've never been there and don't have plans to go in the future, but I can still understand their reason for cancelling right or wrong. It's also possible the new manager simply used LB as an excuse to get out of something he thought was a mistake. Either way its a blip on the screen for SMU.

I'd love to see their Monday night 7-8pm receipts compared to what humperdinks is doing right now.

Humperdinks could more than offset the cost of another server on beer.
