Mays, Mustangs ready to tip off 2016-17 season

SMU women's basketball head coach Travis Mays is gearing up for his first season with the Mustangs, a campaign that starts Friday at 11:30 a.m., when the Mustangs host Texas State. Mays and his staff are teaching new systems, and a new way of doing just about everything, in an effort to get the Ponies back on the winning track. Mays bolstered his roster with the addition of several transfers, but also got a boost with the return of guard Kiara Perry, who sat out the 2015-16 season while recovering from an injury.
