Mustangs Sign Four Standouts For 2017-18: Chargois, Douglas, Landrum And Ray
DALLAS (SMU) --- Ethan Chargois, William Douglas, Elijah Landrum and Everett Ray have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Mustangs beginning with the 2017-18 season, SMU Head Coach Tim Jankovich announced today.
Chargois (F, 6-7, 235) and Landrum (G, 6-0, 180) are from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Landrum is ranked as high as No. 2 in Oklahoma after averaging 27.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.9 steals, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals as a junior at Central High School. Chargois is ranked as high as No. 4 in Oklahoma after averaging 15 points and eight rebounds in 2015-16 for Union High School. Douglas (G, 6-4, 175) is from Memphis where he is ranked as high as No. 2 in Tennessee after averaging 14.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals last season at Christian Brothers High School. Ray (F, 6-7, 220) is from Addison, Texas, where he paced CHANT Home School with averages of 22 points, 14 rebounds and six assists in 2015-16.
The [-/rv] Mustangs open the season by hosting Gardner-Webb at Moody Coliseum on Friday at 7 p.m.

Ethan Chargois (F, 6-7, 235) is a forward for Coach Rudy Garcia at Union High School in Tulsa. As a junior, he averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead Union to the State tournament. As a sophomore, Chargois helped his prep squad win the 2014 6A state championship. He averaged 10.1 points and 7.1 rebounds with Team Griffin in the 2016 Nike EYBL summer circuit. The three-star signee is ranked as high as No. 38 at his position and as high as No. 4 overall in Oklahoma.

William Douglas (G, 6-4, 175) is a guard for Coaches William Luckett and Brad Luckett at Christian Brothers in Memphis. The four-star signee was a 2015-16 Tennessee Mr. Basketball finalist. He is ranked as high as the No. 26 shooting guard nationally and as high as No. 2 overall in Tennessee. As a junior, he was conference player of the year and first-team all-region after averaging 14.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals as he led his team to 28-2 record. He played AAU for M33M.

Elijah Landrum (G, 6-0, 180) is a guard for Coach B.J Brown and Eli Brown at Central High School in Tulsa. As a junior, the ESPN four-star signee was named Tulsa World Metro Player of the Year after averaging 27.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.9 steals, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals. He led Central to the Class 4A state tournament and a 21-7 record while shooting 64 percent from the field and 37 percent from 3-point range. In 2014-15, the ESPN four-star signee helped Central win the 4A state title. He is ranked as high as the No. 26 point-guard nationally and as high as No. 2 overall in Oklahoma. Landrum helped Coach Rodney Perry and the MoKan Elite win the 2016 Peach Jam EYBL Championship on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Everett Ray (F, 6-7, 220) is a forward for Coach Terrelle Woodson at University Academy in Addison. The three-star signee played the 2015-16 season with CHANT Home School where he averaged 22 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Everett has scored over 1000 points during his high school career. He played AAU for 210 D1 Premier. In 2015, he played at the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp.
