Guard Play

Obviously expected a big fall off after Nic, but we are going to need someone to become our floor leader. I thought the ball handling was pretty average and I suspect if we play some good guards, we are going to be in trouble.

Agreed. Nic's absence is huge. One game, but I am worried.

Not really a lot of pushing the ball for fast breaks. Looking forward to see how they do against EMU.

Hard to tell yesterday. GW press was totally ineffective. We had no issues getting the ball up the floor. We'all nited the ability to get the rock down low. Most likely Jank has too. For me: too early to judge.

What is the deal with all this? I saw in the game thread where someone posted this team has no leader, really?? We had first half jitters and too many turnovers but we made a pretty decent mid major look like a high school team in the second half. Definitely a lot of room for improvement but we have an incredibly talented team with 8 or 9 above average high level D1 players.

I don't get all the negative vibes. Did y'all think we were going to walk put on the court and play like Kentucky in game 1?!
