SMU asked 770 KAAM NOT to stream games

I was on the road last night and thought it wouldn't be a problem since I could listen on their app, but apparently SMU has asked that KAAM not stream any of our basketball games. Is there any way to listen to the games if I'm not in range?

I'd love to know the reasoning behind not allowing streaming, especially if there isn't another paid option for listening to the games.

That's a big "pisser offer" for me, since 770s signal strength in SW Fort Worth is pitiful. I'm often in the car during games, and streaming has been the only consistent way for me to be able to listen. Grrrr

Generally I'm watching but I'm on a road trip this weekend and was counting on streaming since it was always available last year. Just don't get the change.

Why would we ask them not to stream our games? That sounds stupid.

Probably because SMU wants you to buy their for-pay access stream online.

See I didn't even know that was available or I would have gotten it prior to hitting the road. If you're going to make a change like that you have to let people know...

Well, I guess I need to buy a radio for my office for road games.

I have listened to several SMU games, including the present one, on the Tune In app and the SMU network on my phone. I have never paid anything for the service.

Maybe they just won't use the 770 app

Stupid stupid. I can't get 770 on my drive back to Frisco. I would stream it. Oh well, dumb decision

SMU with yet another questionable decision. Pretty typical

I tried to use their stream they promote on the SMU basketball website and it was streaming the tickets Cowboys pregame instead of the game... unreal incompetence.
