beautiful basketball

Did they mention the SMU record for assists?

I was a little concerned about the lack of passing on Friday Nite

SMU starters (+Emelugu for Sterling Moore in foul trouble) played especially well-and probably outscored EMU by close to 35-40 when they played as a unit

single game record was 37 against Texas Weslyan in 1979 and 27 is most we've had as a member of AAC just last year at USF

Coach Jank made some great adjustments and changes in how our offense was run between Game 1 and Game 2. Against Eastern Michigan our guys definitely looked more comfortable bringing the ball up the court and running our offense. Happy to see that the unselfish culture that was built by Coach Brown continues with Coach Jank. Our guys are doing an incredible job of playing together, running the offense and taking what the defense gives them. Right now it does not matter who gets the points. Could be Sterling one night, Shake one night, Jarrey one night, Semi one night, whoever.

I definitely wish that we had a true point guard, but I guess you cannot have everything. Hopefully in time Tom Wilson can continue to get experience and turn into our PG. Don't get me wrong. I really like Shake as a player, but I really do not see Shake running the point. Our team is playing together well, but if we could find a PG, or at least find someone who could start and facilitate our offense, we could be even better.
