I missed the game on Friday and today was my first time back in Moody since last season. I walked into the Fan Shop to my right and was extremely disappointed in the selection of gear. Not one single item stood out. We need to print some jerseys!! We need a bigger selection of hats instead of the three hats they put out. It really was shocking given the excitement around the program. With SMU a perennial top-25 team year in and year out for almost three years, this problem should be solved by now!

I went in Friday night and asked if they have any SMU basketball shirts and was told no. I'm not kidding. At an SMU basketball game in the fan store at Moody and they don't have one shirt that says SMU Basketball. You can't make this stuff up.

Go buy overpriced gear at the Nike store at NorthPark

It's sad. I used to get upset about these things but I've accepted SMU doesn't care about the small things which are actually very important. The intro video, the DJ, gear at the fan store....the list goes on and on. I'm finished caring. I just focus on the team only now.

Hmm. Maybe that presents an opportunity for someone to lease the space and sell licensed stuff

That fan shop is the only fail of the Moody redo. Weird shape room which makes half of the square footage unusable, extremely poor merchandise selection, and zero retail ambiance.

I took a first time visitor in there Sunday (a 1984 grad from Calif) so he could buy something and we were both surprised by the lack of basketball items. Poor selection.

Does the SMU bookstore have gear?

Tons, including shirts (tees) that say SMU basketball.

Yes. Actually, a lot from which to choose. Gotta admit they're making a solid effort. Although I did not go to the fan shop at Moody, I noticed a lot of people exiting minus a purchase.
