For those who thought 12/7 would be an automatic W, think again. Dixon has the frogs 6-0 after an impressive win over Washington tonight. And they won at UNLV last night. They have a lot of talent. F TCU.

Not that anyone cares (F TCU...I know) but this is the most athletic and deep team we have had since Tubbs. I would say we are ahead of schedule in terms of where I thought we might be in year 1 with Dixon. Nice thing is lots of guys are contributing.

Good luck to your buys except 12/7. Hoping to make it to new moody for first time.

The game in FW last year was competitive. We had more talent but it was hardly a blow out.

So, I'm expecting this game to a close one with Dixon coaching improved talent and SMU trying to develop a style of play without Nic, Marcus, and Tolbert.

Looking forward to this game.

Yup, won't be easy. They're probs a tourney team.

I'm confident we take care of business at home though

I'm not confident at all and just hope the home court advantage Moody has become will be a difference maker

I hope we have not dropped down to the second best team in the metroplex. Lol.

But in all seriousness if TCU has moved ahead of us in hoops it will be hard for us to catch up imo. With Dixon there they may out recruit us for a while.

Man the unwarranted despair on this thread is depressing. Let's at least let TCU beat us once in hoops before we start ceding the high ground lol. It would be foolish to take them lightly but let's not give up on the season and then say they're a tourney team. Those things don't go together. We are at least even with TCU talent wise right now.

Didn't we just beat up on Dixon's mighty recruits just last week in the Garden?

Yeah well last Dec 2nd SMU was behind at half-time and only won that game by five points down the wire with the PowerHouse lb team

I don't see anyone on the thread predicting a TCU win. This game and the Stanford game will tell us more about the team.

Didn't say anyone predicted a TCU win. But people are acting like it's a foregone conclusion they'll pass us in he next couple years.

But Lebanese did call them a tourney team and said we didn't look like one. That kind of implies a belief they're already ahead of us

I don't see a post saying that either. I just see some SMU hoops fans show a bit of concern for the team. Nothing wrong with that nor is it pessimistic.
