Give the Team a Chance

Downright depressing on this board. Anyone who is on here is probably a pretty big supporter / fan, so give the boys a chance. It is tough to win on the road in college basketball. With the exception of last year our road record was not something to boast about. In fact, it was definitely a factor in us not getting a tournament invite three years ago. Not super happy about the Boise State loss either, but they are not a bad team.

I don't know about you, but the last few years have been pretty awesome. It is going to take a lot more than a couple road losses for me to pull the cord.

Lets see how we play on this home stretch against some good teams. I still think we beat Stanford and TCU at home.

See you at Delaware State.

No one is going anywhere, long season. I don't think its the losses, more the erosion of the style of play we'd come accustomed to. Sharing, movement and tenacity were the hallmarks. As folks have said, we don't have that identity right now, which so far has created an inferior product. We're gonna win our share, lose more than we thought, but more than any of that, we need to get back to basics. Defend and board, first and foremost. Can't get out in transition when every long 3 splashes and we have to inbounds

I thought what Jank said in the press conference was interesting - they have never coached a team like this, had to let things play out a little at the beginning of the season, and then they will use the time post-finals over Christmas to commit surgery on offense. Just trying to squeak out wins until they get the time to practice.

I think we should look for a significant improvement in the offense against McNeese State, and then another improvement as we go into conference play at Memphis.

Agree on Identity and Leadership. Someone will emerge as the leader on the court. Thought it was going to be Semi or Ben Moore.

McNeese State is not very good so we well look better regardless.
