I have to say..

Ben Emelogu played his best game of the season by far. Made two big buckets in the first half. Didn't force any 3's. Played solid D and really handled the ball well and did a good job at the point at times let Shake go off ball and take a breather. I really hope he keeps it up going forward.

I really liked McDowell's play on the defensive end. He could be a really good player on that end. If he gets his O going a bit, he could be a solid contributor.

Jank out-coached Jamie Dixon tonight, which I LOVE to see.

Semi missed a few chippys, but was aggressive and took initiative or made a good cut whenever TCU pulled close. Going to enjoy watching him the next season and a half as he is just gonna keep getting better. Like him to stay aggressive and be our go to when we need a bucket and Shake and Sterling be outside if he can kick it out for an open look.

Absolutely agreed about Gu tonight, and I've been one of his harshest critics. He showed up in a big game in a big way tonight. Good for him

DeShawn had the in-bound pass to Gu's dunk

What really surprised me tonight was Gu's handles when put at point. Crossed Fisher cold a couple of times. Handled the pressure and press very well.

Gu handled the ball a lot at Va Tech his Frosh year and Jank may have discovered something last night. Gu has always been good defensively but just needs to stick to mid range shots and take threes only when wide open and team is on a roll.

Was a good look by Dashawn. All in all, we executed lob passes very poorly last night but at crunch time, guys played much smarter. I was impressed when Ben Moore pulled one lob down after realizing he couldn't slam or even drop the shot in and used the rim to block the defender, laying it in from the opposite side.

Five turnovers last night against an aggressive pressing defense. FIVE!
We don't need no stinkin point guard.

Agree and think it was a planned change by Jank. One that could be made quickly in practice. I noticed a lot more of Shake playing off the ball after breaking the press. Gu handled running the offense and Shake got better looks from deep. I expect to see a lot more of that.

one small issue - can we ask Froling to cool it with the 3 pointers? I've never seen him make one.

He made the first one he took in the first game. That means he will never stop.

Froling will be fine from 3. Give it time. We need him to hit those to stretch the def further

I've seen him make 2-form looks pretty good

They've both been wide open looks-no problem. He's developing his game
