The writer had some interesting comments about Larry Brown. I particularly liked this: God only made one Larry Brown; when he was done, God said, “I’m not doing this again.”

I live in the mid-cities area, and bias in reporting is the reason I don't take the Star Telegram. And it goes beyond just the sports page. It's like a neighborhood newspaper for a suburb, which is effectively what FW is.

I live in Fort Worth and subscribe to the Dallas Morning News. It's just a better newspaper.

TCU thinks they are getting Jarrod Vanderbilt.

He took an official visit there. TCU is in the Big XII and has a coach that consistently made the NCAA tournament. I don't think it is that unlikely. We got a commitment from Mudiay, so it can happen.

He's going to Kentucky.

It's a closer heat than many think. His uncle or maybe his cousin, is the Texas sniper on the TCU staff. He was grabbed from LaTech for Vanderbilt

It's almost funny to see an "SMU basketball is dead" story in the paper that agreed to a deal sharing stories with the DMN in order to avoid going out of business.
