12 points off the bench in first game. Led the team in scoring. Know many don't care, but I plan to follow his career at UNT just to see how things turn out for him.

maybe we can just designate this as "Keith's thread" rather than commenting on his games in the other games because there are probably several of us who will be tracking his progress
In unrelated news, I've kind of been following Brian Bernardi who is a senior at Hofstra. They are in the Colonial and when I lived in Charleston and followed the College of Charleston, would see him a couple of ties each year. Kid was a pure shooter and moving on from SMU was the right thing for him. I hope things work out for Keith and that he has an opportunity to make some money playing hoops, because we know academics were never his strong point.

I think Keith is a good kid from a rough upbringing. His handlers and SMU (secretary and Ulric) did him no favors. I wish him well and hopes he grows and matures so he can be a good provider for his family.

Brown forced Bernardi's hand. We could have really used his touch these last couple years.

Pretty sure the Secretary did him a few favors.

But not really. Take that event away and he is twirling his towel in the tourney last year.

Keith hits 3 of 4 three pointers for 9 points in 16 minutes last night but picked up 4 fouls in that limited time. UNT loses by 1 to the San Diego Toreros where Larry Delzell's son played

First off, no one forced Bernardi's hand. Brown and crew wanted him back. His Dad was sick, was hospitalized in front of him, when he was home on break, and the kid determined he was too far away from home. His Dad would have preferred him stay at SMU.
Second, I have nothing good to say about KF.

I know a lot of guys we've been monitoring, but transfers and sitting dont make much sense given our sanction issue. Need 5th year or JUCO types as bigs, waterbug at guard.

Keith goes 1-11 FG and 0-7 three pointers in UNT's loss to Charlotte. Ouch

Keith did a lot of good things for us, and what we did to get him at SMU was done willingly, so I wont rail on him. obviously his time at SMU was a net negative, but you can't say the guy didn't have talent.
It will be another of those sad stories at the end though.
Hope I'm wrong but I bet not.

Generous to say he did a lot of good. He had a few good games. And he screwed us over in the end cause he's a punk.
