Ideal game to take control and empty the bench as early as possible. Give the SUPERB SEVEN a freakin' rest.

But a loss in a game like this could mean no NCAA.

Forgot to add this critical piece of analysis to the mix...

Total # of Dunleavys on bench:

Tulane: 1
SMU: 1

always hated games at Tulane and behind the Curtain at Rice-SMU usually played down to the atmosphere in those places

Question: does anyone know the rules on the regular season champs? Let's say SMU and Cincy only lose one to each other and tie for #1 in conference, would the tie breaker be overall record? If that's tie, what's the next step? Just curious, have to win first.

Co-Conference Champions. There are tie-breakers in place to decide who gets the #1 seed in the conference tournament, but both teams would be co-regular season champs.

I know in 2014 Cincy and Louisville were co-conference regular season champions.

Overall record is not one of the tie breakers, all the tie breakers are based on conference games.
