UConn's Play

Great that we won, but they only thing that resembled UConn was their jerseys. They looked lethargic and shockingly unathletic. They really moved the ball around poorly and simply did not have any offensive sets. The only D that seemed to mess us up (and it always has) was the Zone, but we still broke that down pretty well.

Glad to have the win, but the last three teams that came to Moody were far in a way better. There is a reason they are 7-11.

Beat Houston

Injury decimated but still no excuse for UConn to be playing as poorly as they have been

I think the best thing that could happen for the AAC is for UConn to hire a good coach, but I sure do enjoy dominating them so I am torn.

Those injuries are "old news" as they happened early in the season. They should be playing better together. I want to give our guys props for playing good defense, but we held them to 15 pts in a HALF.

We need them desperately to be good. The conference needs UConn, Memphis, Cincy and SMU to be good every year. If a Houston or Tulsa or even a UCF wants to step it up, that is fine as well.

When was the last time playing UConn hurt your RPI?

The conference also needs Tulane, USF and ECU to move out of the god awful category and at least get to respectable (100 to 150 range). Right now those are five or six games every year that kill the RPI of our top teams, win or lose.

Excellent point. Why in the world we we want to have any discussion about actual basketball. Maybe I should start a uniform color, attendance, student cheer, game music thread.
