Sounds like he and family have been visiting this week and he was at the game last night. Per the article below, he's going JUCO first, and then will transfer from there. I'm assuming that means he would sit out all of next year and start in November 2018, instead of sitting out this semester and next and starting January 2018. Is that right? He would be an awfully nice get, assuming we fill the other spot with a grad transfer big that can play next year.

Regardless of anything we do we are going to get another Big.

It's tough to know what his "plan" is until he decides. He could decide to transfer and sit out a whole year or he might want to play at a JuCo and sit out the fall and jump in mid-season like more transfers are doing now. I would lean towards him wanting to play mid-season, but is likely going JuCo so he can have more options since only so many teams have room to take you mid-season

He would be a fantastic addition. Can play PG or off ball. Had a big time summer at UA camp and was awesome as a frosh at USF.

He likely wants to go to a JUCO because if he does USF can't restrict schools he can transfer to. He can go to SMU through JUCO but probably not at mid-term

You never know, but he might have some grades issues to straighten out as well. He was suspended this year for violating team rules before he left.

He is a volume shooter who shoots at a poor percentage overall. As enthralling as his 3 point range is, not sure if he would be the best fit for our system because of his need to be on the ball.

Yeah would be interesting to know more about the suspension that made him miss a few games.

See I'm not sure what his need is to be on ball & be a high volume shooter. He was definitely a volume shooter and could have a higher percentage but imagine playing for USF. Not like anyone else could take the ball and score it and every team was keying on shutting down a freshman guard. So all of his shots he had to create for himself. I get your concern though, just not sure it wouldn't be similar for most guys as a freshman on that team.

A lot of speculation on what caused the suspension on the USF fan board but apparently the reason was never released by the school/coaches. One thing is for sure, that program is a total dumpster fire. Antigua had lost complete control. What a mess.
