Winningest SMU Bball Team?

What's the most wins an SMU bball team has had? In reading the latest ESPN article about our "redemption", it said we won 25 games last year which made me think about this year. If we win out the reg season, we are looking at 27 wins. Win the conf tourney and we could be looking at a 30 win season. Have we won more before? I know I'm getting WAY ahead of myself but could be a cool thing to root for as a fan.

NIT run gave us 31 wins?

Win on Saturday and we have 4 straight 25 win seasons.

25 wins is a down year for us now.

NIT run gave us 27 wins - and then we won 27 in the NCAA Tourney year. We should surpass that this year...

1987-88 we went 28-8 - that was the most wins I could find.

This is a special team. There could be a lot of records broken by the end of this...

Team rebound record is 1,333 - we have 1,109 right now and are averaging 40 RPG.

SMU would have had more wins in th 50's but teams were not allowed to play near as many games

What season did we have to vacate wins due to Keith?

Babe Ruth would have hit more home runs, too.

I would assume that this is the most wins in a four year stretch by far.

The selection committee gives credit for a win in your conference tournament if you have a bye. Maybe we should add those wins in also.

Great point!

So we will definitely be winninger than that 1987-88 team.
