If we can take care of bidness the rest of the way, we have a decent shot at an NIT bid. We need to beat Navy and OSU and place no lower than third in the WAC. I'm playing hooky this afternoon and driving out to Annapolis to see the Ponies throttle the Middies.

WOW hadn't been paying attention to UTEP-I guess their outstanding JUCO class of about 6 players is the real deal/

Funny how that works- they had maybe a 7 man rotation last year

....and when SMU gets beat by UTEP JC we can all scream "Dement can't coach-if we could just get a coach who worked on the fundamentals, imposed discipline and could motivate the boys" Hallelujah!. Remember UTEP had hit rock bottom a couple of years ago.

I'm not sure how they (UTEP)have such a high RPI. They are 9-1 but lost to TT. They really haven't played a very tough schedule so far. I am not conceding the games to the Miners yet.
For the "fire the coach" crowd-Everyone's darling Quin Snyder's highly touted Missouri squad lost last night to Belmont. That is a small college in Nashville with about 3000 students which has been playing D-1 basketball for the past 7 years. K St and their heavily laden JUCO squad lost to the UMKC Kangaroos by 41 points. Kinda makes Dement's 2 losses look mild by comparison- Huh?
