Thankful for the Friday/Sunday setup to give players an extra day of rest
and for playing in Tulsa for fans
seems to think there is a curse on 5 seeds

Peruna's Law and The Curse of the 5 seed would have been a bad combination.

He's oblivious to Shake's short-shorts. Which he should be.

If I recall yesterday, the curse of the 6 seed is worse than the 5.

I am nervous. Get by game one and I think we handle Baylor and prepare for Duke. Game one scares me.

Me too. Once we win a game we will have won a game and then we can focus on making a run.

No expectations. Enjoy the ride. We aren't here every year (yet). Shouldn't be any pressure on our team or coaches. Just go play our game and we are in good shape against any team in the country.
I'm just glad I can watch my ponies on Friday. Anything from here on out this season is awesome. Wasn't that long ago we had two dead weight kangaroos, a coach that people wondered whether or not he was the right guy for the job, and a player named GU whom people were wishing would move on after the season, sitting at 4-3 wondering what seed we'd be in the NIT. I don't want to get caught in the hype of seeding or high expectations for a program that is not traditionally in this boat. Enjoy the day! I'll worry about whether or not we win a game or make it to the second weekend when we are a traditional tournament team.

I read somewhere that, after the selection, one of our guys wasn't pleased w/#6.....that might put the chip on our shoulders for the first game.

You're exactly right. I wish I could have this attitude, but I so desperately want to A) prove everyone wrong and B) beat baylor. I'm worried about the first round. I care way too much.

I think the American tournament prepped this team perfectly for the NCAAs. An opponent gets red hot and a 20-point lead evaporates? Having to prepare for radically different opponent styles and game plans on short turnaround? This team got looser, and better, in each of those three games even as the each successive opponent was a major step up in quality.

Agree. But I was pretty confident we'd beat UCLA - that's what worries me.

As far as I'm concerned we did beat UCLA, that was probably the worst game deciding call in the tournament's history.
