After Froling left I think this was best case scenario after seeing Wilson and McDowell. No offense to either of them, but they were both projects with multiple gaps in their game and with our current scholarship situation it was likely for the best to be able to start over. Surprised McDowell left after this season, but being an LB guy and how he performed this year, Jank in his meeting might have told him that PT was gonna be tough to come by going forward.

Already got McMurray to replace Wilson's spot, which will be a huge upgrade. Now we can add another big, maybe a Garrison Brooks or a regular transfer to go with a Grad-Transfer big man.

His limited minutes this year tells the story, but it sucks that we wiffed on an entire class.

Not good to word on a whole class, but I guess it's understandable given the coaching change. Next class is big.

I think this is best for both parties... I have also heard the staff is heavily pursuing Garrison Brooks, which would be a huge win if we could land him!

Like I said a few weeks back, McDowell fit the profile of a transfer.

Agreed. I like hearing this. I thought they would go the direction of adding a Grad-Transfer and a regular transfer, but its likely just adding a Grad-Transfer and best available option. Brooks would be a big get, the competition will be stiff.
