Austin Nichols Declares for NBA Draft

Thought this guy had so much potential while at Memphis. Unfortunate how it worked out - interested to see where he goes now that he has hired agent and declared for NBA draft:

No way he makes it in the NBA. Way too much baggage.

Is it really declaring for the NBA draft when there are no longer any NCAA programs willing to take you?
