looks like he had a great Freshman year but do we really want a guy that has to sit out a year. He should go to a JUCO and transfer from there

Fits the exact mold of the player we are looking for in the frontcourt. Super athletic, runs the floor, strong finisher, can step out and hit perimeter shots and a good rim protector. He's worth the wait.

Visit to Oregon scares me, they have a strong pipeline with that Canadian/Vegas connection.

And we have one spot on scholarships for a transfer to sit a year/class of 2018 freshman. I would have no problem adding a big man with experience to help bridge the gap for after Semi is gone next year

I assume its an either or with him and Garrison Brooks...or can we have both based upon our schollie numbers?

We have 2 scholarships available. So we could have both. If you get This guy and garrison Brooks, then you dont take a player in the class of 2018 unless someone transfers out during the season. If we just get one of the two, then you could take 1 player in the class on 2018.

We will take the best two available bigs. We aren't going to limit ourselves based on classification. The only downside of taking both would be the lack of separation of classification between our bigs, but they would both be fantastic adds, especially Brooks.

Brooks would start next season and likely be AAC rookie of the year and a potential star down the line, if he continues to develop his game. Brooks with Semi back next year would make us very dangerous. And even without Semi he could become our go to in the frontcourt to go along with our talented backcourt. Just hope we can close him.

Mike looks like exactly what we would be looking for in a 4-man to replace Semi. Is freakishly athletic, can shoot the 3 ball pretty well, and pretty solid rebounder.

Tough pull, wants to visit both schools, which hurts. Gotta sway him while he's here. Rosters are fluid, take him, cause he can go. Doesn't matter if next year or later

If Kenny Wooten (who is visiting Oregon today) commits that could help us close him the weekend.

Love the athleticism. He and Semi going at it in practice would be fun. I say beg, borrow or steal and go hard after this guy.

Isn't SMU going after Wooten too?

Yes we are, but Wooten stated when he decommitted that Oregon was a big reason why he did and Oregon was in his top 2 when he decided, so beating them out would be a tall task for anyone, but if he doesn't commit then we could potentially get a visit along with other schools. I would rather have Garrison Brooks than Wooten and then be able to add Mike as an awesome replacement for Semi after he graduates or after Mike lays out a year..

I would rather Wooten commit soon and enable us a real good shot to close on Mike this weekend and get a commitment and continue to work on Garrison Brooks (who is nothing like Mike or the two bigs we have committed).
