How do your Preseason AAC Rankings look?

Rothstein today said picking 3-7 in the AAC is perplexing. What is y'all's rankings of the AAC (1-12).

Here is mine:

1. Cincy
2. WSU
3. SMU
4. UCF
5. Temple
6. UConn
7. Houston
8. Tulsa
9. Memphis
10.Tulane
11. ECU
12. USF

Obviously this is preseason and way too early, but just for fun. I like Cincy over WSU. Both should be real good, but Cincy is always very tough and has played in this conference before. WSU is really good, but a little overrated from the UK game. I think Temple will be back, but to me 5-7 is the real mystery. Hard to know what order Temple, UConn, UH will finish. Could maybe even include Tulsa.

I think top 4 likely make the tournament. I know some say we could be a 5 bid league this year, but I would bet on 3-4, with 4 being more likely.

Don't have a single argument with your line up. Right on.

Call me a homer but I think we can challenge Cincy and Wichita St for the league title. We have a lot of unknowns but so did we last season. I remember when I posted that Semi would average a lot more than 10 points a game as some expert had predicted, and I was quickly told by most on here to tap the brakes. I'm not sayong Whitt will average 19 points and be the AAC POY but he will have a big impact, as will McMurray.

Also, one of our four freshmen, maybe two will come in and play like upperclassmen. I think Ray is ready today. Landrum will be such a change of pace PG that I think most teams willhave trouble adjusting. Douglas might be the most talented of the four and Chargois has a very nice skill set for someone his size.

All that said,

1. SMU
2. Cincy
3. Wichita St
4. Temple
5. UCF
6. Houston
7. UConn
8. Memphis
9. Tulsa
10. Tulane
11. ECU
12. USF

BTW, Tulane will surprise a few teams this year. Dunleavy can coach.

Can't argue too much with that. I think we will be in the race for the conference title, but at this point in the preseason I think we would likely be 3rd or 2nd. Cincy is loaded, IMO.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. We will be better than many people think. Whitt can play (huge fan), McMurray will make at least a scoring impact in the spring (will be interesting to see how he fits in). And agree with every point about the freshman. I also think Shake is going to explode this year.

I think picking 4-7 might be perplexing but there is no doubt the top 3 are Cincinnati, Wichita State, and the Ponies.

Time for Shake to step up. He and Jarrey need to run the show. Sprinkle in Whitt, Agau, and maybe BenE with the frosh and McMurray coming in time for AAC play and I think we are top 4. All depends on how high the ceiling gets for Shake and Jarrey and can the frosh make a true impact. Losing Sterling, Ben, and Semi is very rough.

Agree. See us as 3-4 regular season but if it all comes together the schedule will help.
