Wichita State All American candidate breaks foot

Know this is mentioned in the WSU season tix thread - but worth mentioning here as this is what many are considering the front runner for AAC POY.

Worst possible scenario for AAC as a league. He will be recovering/limited/or unavailable for the OOC slate of games, but likely playing in the Conference games.

Unfortunately pollsters will downgrade them in early rankings.

WSU loses a bunch of non-conference games and then beats up on the conference = 1 bid league in 2018.

What is a worse than a one bid league?

I guess they could pull the auto-bid off the table for the AAC...

Glad that you all are so confident that Wichita State will beat Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and top Marquette, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Cal in Maui without their All American Point Guard or with his coming off of foot surgery.

I hope you all are right as it is fairly important to SMU that they take care of their business OOC (because we all know that we can't count on UCONN or Memphis to do the heavy lifting anymore).

Nothing we can do about it so I refuse to be concerned. They are not a one man team. Sure they may lose a game or two but I am confident they will be ok

If you actually read the story, he'll miss maybe a handful of games at most.
And I don't spend my free time worrying about WSU.

When have UCONN or Memphis ever done any heavy lifting for us?

And Marquette? If the doughboy is eligible by then even a broken foot can still blow by him. 8)

^Great point. Did not think about that. But looks like he will not be playing until late December. He was also injured and in a boot.

Re: Froling - from Marquette Board:

I heard one story where they are waiting until school starts...before he can go full tilt....and they have a full semester to wait until he can play on 12/18

He was 273 lb when he arrived and he is 234 lb now...he has learned to eat right...and that carried thru to the summer where he lost weight even in the boot
