Is the team staying out west till the Nev. game is completed? And is there an altitude issue in Nevada?
The team played hard and overcame some early adversity against FSU. I am optimistic about our chances against Nev. We have played stiff competition on the road and won before. We have a little more time to adjust to time changes and we know we can hang with a tough conference team on the road.

I would imagine they will arrive early and have plenty of time to practice SHOOTING in that bldg. Hopefully, the perimeter offense will return against the Pack.

Altitude in Reno is about 5500 feet. Didn't seem to affect LaTech last night who played their best bball in the 2nd half.

Nevada is favored by 9 according to my sports page. Ponies will beat that spread. Don't know if we will steal a win, but I think we will be competitive. After that OSU debacle, I don't think these guys will quit again during a game. They showed me that against FSU after getting down 11-0 to open. Of course, Nevada is unbeaten at home this year and is winning their home games by an average margin of 19 pts (including an impressive 14 pt win against Kansas)

a quick start is essential, hoping for Nevada to miss 3's, and scoring more than 45-50 pts - can't listen tonight unfortunately.
good luck

game now underway and it's another poor start for SMU. Down 11-4 and sounds like Bhop is trying to do too much by himself. He really needs to work hard to get his teamates more involved in the offense. Bhop has had 2 shots blocked already, sound like while trying to force things in the paint.

Seems the O is slow to get started. Bhop is out with 2 fouls. 15-8 Nev

I cant believe Todd Okeson can block BHops shot. That should never happen. I love Bhop but he either needs to get in shape or he needs to let whatever secret injury he is harboring heal.

Since Voc has replaced Hop, we seem to be running an offense. A little more encouraging.

Defense is playing well and Bhop has hit a 3. If we could only keep Snyder on the bench.

Bhop gets third foul, all offensive I think. Game over for all intents and purposes.

I hope the Ponies don't think so. BHop is not a 1 man team.

Offense....where is it?? Once again we can't seem to find two or three people with reasonably hot hands to allow us to win these types of games.
If Nevada gets 70 points for the game it would appear we are dead in the water.
I know I have said this ad nauseum, but I can't believe that this group can't score more than 65 points per game.

No he is not, but don't underestimate his importance either. Voc is a tough kid for even continuing his career, but his leg isn't strong enough and he has difficultly even getting the ball past the hash mark and into attack position on offense.
