in recent memory for this program? It is very clear TCU is a HUGE factor in our recruiting now. We need to be able to say we have a five game winning streak on that pathetic excuse for a school.

Not even the biggest game that week. 12/2 looking for revenge against what could be a top five USC squad. 9pm Saturday night tip off at Moody. I cant wait

Not even close. I think we've beaten them in football more recently than they've beaten us in basketball.

To me personally, it's the USC game for several reasons: my bro in law is a huge USC fan and gloats and I still cringe when I remember last years trip to Tulsa.

USC is by far the bigger game. I don't think we compete that much with TCU in regards to players. Has there ever been a player that comes down to choosing TCU or SMU?

I think it is a big game and a big rivalry in all sports. If a local player wants to stay close to home he/she will decide between SMU and TCU. It may even be that SMU or TCU gets excluded from the list early on because the player already knows enough about both schools and already has a strong preference early on such that recruiting comes down to SMU or TCU and other non-local schools. So even though you seldom hear a player deciding between SMU and TCU I think it is always going to be a recruiting battle.

That's a huge week right there.
Frogs will be a huge test at that mausoleum they call a basketball arena.
It would be a big win for the team at that juncture.
USC? So much talent. And who knows what happens with Enfield between now and then? Do players jump ship? (Does his wife get any hotter?). Sorry.... I digress.
Both huge games. I hope we're ready.

you better believe there will be plenty of players in that situation if we let tcu onto our level.
the tcu game is about holding ground and protecting the progress that the program has already made. the usc game is about gaining more ground. and frankly the most important ground to gain comes in march and april. so as silly as some may think it sounds, i think the tcu game is bigger in the long term.

It's USC and it's not even debatable.

Everett Ray came down to SMU vs. TCU and one of our biggest 2018 targets has TCU very high on his list. Jamie Dixon can recruit.

USC! Might be the highest ranked team to ever come to new moody. And we owe them a little something. HUGEst ooc game of the year.
Not worried about the froggies. This is a national program.

I'm not arguing that TCU is better than USC because I don't think anyone believes that. We might play five teams better than TCU - Arizona, Villanova, USC, Wichita St and Cincy. What I'm saying is this game will be massively important for recruiting and bragging rights. TCU is becoming a major factor in recruiting the same guys we are going after.

And your point is well taken. We do need to own them and there is no more free lunch with Dixon.

Yep. And as strong as the AAC is in basketball, especially now with the addition of WSU, the conference still lacks the name power of the Big 12 with local recruits. Anyone who follows our recruiting knows that first hand over the past month. And believe me, Dixon is driving that point home with every recruit we are going after.
