Have not seen them play but I know they have been a solid team over the years. Anyone have a current scouting report on them?

Looks like they lost to a rated UNC on the road by 18. They beat I think 3 nobodies so hard to judge.
ESPN power rankings say 75.1% win chance.
Sagarin says we are tied with TCU at #33 vs UNI #80

Think somebody mentioned they were down 33 to the University of Academic Fraud at one point in the game.
Nevertheless, I expect this game to be close throughout. Hope we can close out in crunch time.

Watching their Chicago State game now.... random observations:
Lots of Senior leadership 6’10 and 6’7 dudes like to go inside. 5’10 soph point guard very capable hit his first outside shot then drive the lane nicely First guy off the bench guns threes at a nice clip Depth
Conclusion: This won’t be easy Keep our bigs out of foul trouble We need agoi... wish he had some court time. We need to rebound ATLANTIS is a very strange and different court environment. The team that adapts first will have a nice edge. Veteran play/leadership will be a key. We need Shake, Gu, Jarrey and Whitt on right from the get-go.
Big game! This is not Bumflook Jr high.

All I know about UNI is they were one of our biggest wins in the Coach Doh era.

Chargois has shown a nice touch but you are right...we need to guys who might be getting touches late in games (Whitt, Gu & Foster for sure) to improve on their current percentages

I should have included Chargois in the OK column for free throws...free throw % is next to last column.

A few interesting comments from their forum about us... BTW - Haldeman is one of their top 3 point snipers (had 4 vs UNC) and is the one referenced as injured - in a Boot at the football game this weekend. They believe they are going to work us down low with their size advantage (Koch) and get our frosh C to foul out and kick out a lot of threes... https://www.panthernation.com/forum/specific-sports-topic-forums/panther-men-s-basketball/674181-up-next-smuRemember when we were keeping Tim Jankovich and the Redbirds out of the NCAA tournament, good times. From browsing some fourms, it sounds like SMU has some shoddy 3-pt defense, so if we shoot like we did against Alcorn or UNC, we can cruise to victory. Really hope Haldeman is okay by Wednesday, unlikely as it is. Like I said, if the three ball falls, we'll win by 20. If not, it'll be rough to watch.

If I am reading this correctly the team is shooting 68% for free throws. Generally I believe 70 to 75 percent is about average for a team so they are not too far off as a team.

Quite the range - win by 20 or rough to watch...
I like our chances in this one, I think the guys will show up energized and ready to go and Shake and Jarrey will carry us. Now the next two down there after UNI are a different story.
