There's been NCAA heartbreak -- but since we got serious about bball, our team has never embarrassed us. Thank you LB and Jank. Beat UCF.

Very thankful for our basketball program especially Larry and the originals. It’s nice to have especially on a day like this.

Thankful for the b-ball team, let’s hope we can sustain this success without Larry’s player still here (shake, Jarrey, Gu) hopefully Jane can keep developing

I think Jankovich has proven that he can recruit well enough to keep us at Larry Brown levels. His players include Nic Moore, Jahmal McMurray, Isaiah Mike, Ethan Chargois.

but it's SMU, I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hopefully, Jank won't let that happen.

The correct answer is no because there was no game. The game did not happen ;)

I did not, and not because I was making a statement with not going or I’m anti football. I don’t think it was any secret I was not a fan of Chad Morris, and that has nothing to do with the way he left SMU. I just never saw the “great” or even “above average” offensive mind that others do. His game management was terrible and his defense was terrible.

He and his staff were good recruiters and no doubt he improved the talent on the roster but that is about it. Fan interest did not improve at all in his three years, even though that probably says more about SMU than Morris. We know he always had one foot out the door and that kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

I actually like Dykes and I think he is a step up in game coaching compared to Morris. I feel bad for him that he got put in the position he was in Wednesday night. It was a winless situation and there was very little he could do to change the quit we saw in a lot of guys. I have no idea how Dykes will recruit at SMU but it is not like Morris set the bar THAT high.

All that said, 90% of my SMU athletics “give a damn” is in basketball, and more recently soccer. Both programs have a plan and have shown the ability to compete at a high level on the national stage. Football never has shown that in my twenty plus years of following SMU. I’ll always want the best for SMU Football but my optimism is on life support.

BTW, So Cal check your PMs. I sent you one.
