The Mustangs (12-6, 2/3 AAC) are coming off a stunning 66-64 loss at home to Temple last Wednesday. The Owls had lost five in a row and were winless in AAC play, but came up with a game-winning shot with 1.5 seconds remaining to end the Mustangs' 33-game home winning streak. They are allowing opponents 61.1 points per game, the sixth-best scoring defense nationally.
The Shockers (15-2, 5-0 AAC) are off and running in their first season in the AAC. Wichita State has won 27 straight games and 67 of their last 68 at Charles Koch Arena.

Time to "shock" the nation.

We need Shake. McMurray, Gu, Jarrey and Chargois to all be "feeling it" from three tonight to pull this one off. Stranger things have happened but this team is going to live and die by the three

I actually hope Jarrey doesn't attempt a single 3 - would prefer to see him drive and draw fouls (his FT shooting has been much better of late) or kick to the other guys that can shoot it from 3. Maybe next year, if he works on it all summer, but right now we really can't afford for him to shoot from long distance any more than we can with Whitt. Play to your strengths and stop forcing it.

Saw a picture on Twitter of Ray getting on the plane in a walking boot. Guess that ankle sprain in practice was pretty bad. They have some big bodies, but have to assume if Ethan gets in foul trouble we'll be going back to small ball, although I hope in a zone this time instead of the man D that was so exposed (specifically McMurray) at Tulane.
