Time to start watching this. We are currently in the 4 slot with first round Bye. In that case - first game could be vs. UCF in Orlando or Memphis/UCONN (assuming the 5 beats USF). Drop to #5 and we are playing USF in first round with no bye.
First Round - Thursday, March 8 (All Games on ESPNU)
Game 1: No. 9 seed vs. No. 8 seed - Noon ET
Game 2: No. 12 seed vs. No. 5 seed - 2 p.m. ET
Game 3: No. 10 seed vs. No. 7 seed - 7 p.m. ET
Game 4: No. 11 seed vs. No. 6 seed - 9 p.m. ET
Quarterfinals - Friday, March 9
Game 5: Winner of Game 1 vs. No. 1 seed - Noon ET (ESPN2)
Game 6: Winner of Game 2 vs. No. 4 seed - 2 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Game 7: Winner of Game 3 vs. No. 2 seed - 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Game 8: Winner of Game 4 vs. No. 3 seed - 9 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Semifinals - Saturday, March 10 (All Games on CBS)
Game 9: Winner of Game 5 vs. Winner of Game 6 - 1 p.m. ET
Game 10: Winner of Game 7 vs. Winner of Game 8 - 3:30 p.m. ET
Championship Game - Sunday, March 11 (CBS)
Game 11: Winner of Game 9 vs Winner of Game 10 - 3:30 p.m. ET

A top four seed really helps us. Not only does it avoid any chance of total disaster on Thursday but it also means
one less game on consecutive days if we happen to make a run. Whatever the path to winning the thing it most likely goes through both WSU and Cincy. While I don't see that happening it sure would be fun to still be around on Sunday. I'm not planning on it though. I fly home Sunday morning and will watch the finals on the toob.

getting one of those top 4 seeds and a 1st round bye is critical for this team if they hope to do any damage in the AAC Tourney. With our short bench, I don't see this bunch playing 4 games in 4 days.

Also less games means less games for McMurray to go cold. Counting on 3 hot shooting nights is a lot better than counting on 4 in a row

Good point!
I hope we do get a top 4 seed and I think we will.

Me too. Would be surprised if we didn't finish 4th. I just really hope UCF doesn't finish 5th. Don't need a first round road game.

Going to be really important to pick up road wins at Tulsa and/or UCF if this team wants to have any chance of being a top 4 seed and I will believe these guys can do that when I see it. Right now, it looks like Cincy, WSU and Houston are going to be 1-2-3 and that the 4th spot is pretty much up for grabs. Of course, I'm assuming we will defend Moody well despite having a really tough home schedule in the 2nd half of AAC play.

This loss pretty much killed any hope I had of getting a top 4 seed. Our remaining schedule is as tough as anyone's and without Shake I think we will struggle to get to 9-9. Let's hope he's back for the Houston game and if not, it is going to be critical to have him back vs. Memphis. MUST WIN home game
