He could have easily finished his last class and have a college degree instead he’s making $30,000 or less in Poland

I am sure Markus Kennedy is prime source of advice for most college basketball players these days.

You could be right

A Professional Basketball Player in Poland, IN earns an average of $38171, ranging from $30132 at the 25th percentile to $44486 at the 75th percentile, with top earners (the top 10%) earning more than $53011. Compensation is derived from fewer than 20 profiles, including base salary, equity and bonus.

If your medical, housing, and food is included with that - it's not as bad as it seems.

Probably not going to be driving $50,000 new cars and taking off to the islands every month.

If you plan to work for someone else you're going to need that paper as an equal starting point.

I would lean towards trusting LB. it is like holding a kid back in kindergarten. Ultimately he would enter the work for a year sooner if not held back but odds are his earning potential is greater by having done so.

Markus might be thinking he could have had more options coming off a strong Jr season and maybe getting a better initial pro contract somewhere. I'm not sure where he is coming from but everyone knew he struggled with the academic side so why not start earning money as soon as you can wherever you can. LB might have thought he had NBA potential but he regressed in his final season here and that probably hurt him.

This was an interesting perspective from a players life experience in Poland.

I'm assuming Apartments and vehicles are paid for that's the only way they could get away with not paying them at all and sending them home
