I feel bad for all of the people who will have to modify their travel plans for that big game against Lipscomb.

Didn’t TCU try this same type of weak non conference schedule a few years ago and missed the NCAA tournament?

No, that was us one year under LB :).

Our conference is probably going to get 4 bids regardless...increasing the number of bids is going to have a lot more to do with how Cincy, W State, Memphis. UConn, Tulane, UCF, Tulane, Tulsa, and Houston collectively do in the non-conference than with what we do. It is a collective showing, and the conference doesn't need us battling a challenging non-con schedule without Foster and then doing better in conference once we get healthy, because THAT makes the conference look bad.

I think our week schedule puts us in a position where we need to clearly be a top 4 team in the conference to get an NCAA bid. If we are 5, we are the odd man out.

Great, now I get to choose between supporting SMU vs. a weak OOC opponent or going to Mavs vs. Golden State...

Coach Jank didn't want a conflict with wear Cowboys gear for 10% off at Tom Thumb day - that's when he buys his groceries.

I think you are right about the other conference teams defining the conference; however, SMU really let down the other members by failing to be part of the teams that help enhance the conference and give other teams their shot at the dance.
