27. JARREY FOSTER, SF, SMU | SENIOR
Height: 6'6" | Weight: 220 | Age: 21

Foster was a surefire draft pick as a junior prior to an ACL injury that ended his season. He rejoins the Mustangs with some level of expectation after what was by all accounts a smooth recovery, and has the requisite athleticism and savvy to fit neatly into the NBA game as a high-end role player. He’s highly versatile and was one of the more underrated players in the country before he got hurt. A depleted roster around him could make scoring efficiently a challenge. The hope is that a healthy Foster takes steps forward as a jump shooter, retains his athleticism and parlays that into a first-round selection.

Let's just hope he's an excellent player for SMU this year before he heads off to the NBA. We don't need another player playing the injured card for half the season.

Everything I see online, in print, etc. about Foster strongly implies that he is fully recovered, ready to go.....but I thought that he was still not ready.

What is his recovery status? Is he playing Thursday or will it be a while? All national press about him acts as if he is healthy now.

He will play since he has a lot to gain--being drafted. He saw how that worked out for Shake, so he will definitely play until the end.

I saw that in the paper, but it did not give any other details.

Anyone have any info, is he going to be ready here very soon, or will be around conference play>

Goodman reported yesterday that he is day to day and is close to returning. Take that for what it's worth.

Close to returning... to practice. Will still be a while before a game.

Per Jank: won't see the real team until mid to late December. JF will play when JF says he's ready.
