Reseat follow up: Are there people using your old seats?

Two games into the new season. Have you seen new season ticket holders in your seats from last season? Or are they now empty and unused?

Nope, had my seats in 104 since 06 and probably missed 25 games in total including lots of dreadful games watching Doh stomp his foot. I guess the ticket broker who bought my seats hasn't been able to sell them :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I was in 104 also. No one in my seats either.

Stubhub is still the way to go since the reseat and what we have on the schedule.

I don't think i have seen a pair of seats available in 103,104 or 105.

Either the new ticket holders don't realize they can sell unused tickets or it isn't worth their time to sell them.

Either way its not a good look. SMU knows whose tickets are used/scanned and whose tickets go unused

But they obviously don't care, as long as you write a big enough check. If they cared, they would have handled it differently. Money trumps loyalty. We have bills to pay. I get it. But killing the atmosphere by [deleted] off the loyal fans and selling less tickets isn't going to help home court advantage or recruiting.

It was painful to watch my empty seats from afar.

I was getting calls from the SMU ticket office up until a week or so ago telling me my season tickets in sec 207 were still available if I wanted them. I never returned the call, but am wondering if they would have offered to not double the required donation and/or offered me any kind of deal beyond the reseat price if I actually renewed them a few weeks ago.

I bought 4 tickets on Gametime for $9 each and had decent seats in sec 210 for yesterday's debacle, and it appeared my old seats (well really most of the arena to be fair) were vacant.

My 2 in 204 are empty....

We now have a new parlor game.... if SMU ever gets good in football we can guess how the athletic department will screw it up.... I never saw the reseat coming

If we get good in football, SMU will find a way to run the coach off. They all seem to leave hating SMU.

My seats have been used. In fact, I spoke w/ the new occupants. I get the impression they paid less than I would have if SMU had just given me a price. Hasn't been a problem picking up good tickets for the games so far though; already got good ones for most of the (hopefully) high-demand games, too. (And saved a ton of money compared to last year.)

Unfortunately SMU basketball has bigger problems than the reseat right now.

Hoping we can get back on track on all fronts, but I'm definitely concerned. I suspected the reseat might be a last desperate attempt to profit from our few seasons of minor success and I really hope the coming years don't continue to validate that belief...

Stop hanging out in the third stall in the men’s bathroom and go sit in them

My old seats were on line 1,sec 204...greatest seats in the house...long before the reseat there was a rumor that the person who made the big gift for the new pool wanted 6 seats right there. I think he got them as they were gone from the moment of first picking...in any event he or someone is using them and there were all new faces in that area last night.we have been traveling for the last month and last night was my first exposure to this new team...I liked what I saw..even if I was 7 rows higher.in someone else’s old seats. Still,I think I am done with smu’s “what will you do for me tomorrow” approach to loyalty.

Same

My wife and I used to be one of the first ones in the gym and the last to leave, despite the fact that we live an hour and a half from SMU. Now I watch them on my phone from the comfort of my home.

I've also dropped fball tickets and have only attended one game this year. I used my student ID to get me in the game.
