Many in Arkansas complain that their 18,000 seat capacity Walton Center that replaced Barnhill caused a loss of energy. I am not sure how many seats were in Barnhill but apparently it was a cramped, low ceiling structure that allowed for maximum noise which they no longer get.

Duke is a great example of a program that could sell a lot more tickets if Cameron Indoor was expanded but Coach K has come out pretty strong against any changes to their arena, which is pretty much the same as the old Moody was.

You said plenty of examples but you only listed one which was Duke. Could you name several more? I am not saying you are wrong but you need to increase the sample amount to infer plenty.
