But does he have any doubt whether it would it be the same at SMU? After all, he was a visitor at Moody when SMU was at the top of it's game. Hey, we hired Larry Brown despite his collegiate history. Why not Pittino if it should come to that?

Chris Mullin, their current coach is well liked. He played for St Johns and was great. I've not heard he is on the hot seat.

A losing record his first three seasons, but he made the NCAA tournament this year. Considering his place in the school's history, I seriously doubt they would have fired him.
