Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMUWhy was this two-bit clown not fired after last season? It was fun watching us go 8-0 against literally the worst schedule in America, then we get boatraced at home by the first halfway decent team we play.
The offense looks like two octogenarians copulating, the defensive effort is atrocious, the whole thing is a discombobulated mess. For the love of God, FIRE JANK 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMUNot any different than JJ for his last 3 years.
Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMU
seems like there is an old quote that states making the same stupid mistake and expecting different results is total insanity. Hmmm?
Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMUI hope they give Jank the job for life just so I can read this board.
Does anyone have a clue as to how athletics work? No. 1 question is always “who do we get if we fire the coach?”. And that question is asked of the people who are paying the bill. The rest of us just need to sit back and make the best of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Mustangs Abu!
Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMURick Pitino is still available. He'd get us back to Larry Brown levels if not better and probably would avoid NCAA scandal this time around.

I'm with mustangxc on this one. But the admin would never allow this to happen. Here is a complete list of the greatest NCAA Men's BBall coaches that don't come with Baggage over last 50 years: Mike Krzyzewski "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR

Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMUPlease Pitino. We'd have to give dorm rooms to NCAA investigators who will be camping out here. We don't need that pub. Heck, bring back Dave Bliss, money, dope and murders and NCAA appearances. If we decide to change coaches, we'll undoubted look for someone who will recruit with zeal and find players who will get us to the next level. Who knows if that Coach is actually alive.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMUI have always wondered what Mark Few from Gonzaga could do at SMU while recruiting the Dallas area. It would probably take an annual Brinks truck full of money to pry him out of Spokane, but that would likely be one way to revive Moody Magic. Heck, I might even buy season tickets again or at least go to a game.
Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMUGive Dirk a blank check. Recruiting is more important nowadays. Ask Penny Hardaway

*That we are aware of If Schumer and Pelosi went to ACC rival schools, he would have been gone long ago.
Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMU
Agreed on the * But just to prove my point. Here are some of the most successful coaches of the last 40 years - essentially the 600+ win club. Every one with significant baggage... John Calipari Bill Self Roy Williams Bob Huggins Bobby Knight Bruce Pearl Dean Smith Eddie Sutton Lute Olson Denny Crum Jim Boeheim Jim Calhoun Jerry Tarkanian and Rick Pitino "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR

Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMUWhat did Lute Olson and Denny Crum do? I don't remember their scandals.
Re: Tim Jankovich is stealing money from SMU
I would say that they have less baggage, but, still have enough baggage for the overhead compartment: Lute got AZ on probation and had 19 wins vacated - AZ claimed a stroke he had affected his decision-making abilities: https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/news/story?id=5420753 Denny Crum oversaw a program that provided cars to star players: https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1998-sep-23-sp-25701-story.html The post season ban was later lifted. Both of these coaches are currently available if anyone is interested. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR
